  oils on winsor and newton canvas boardThis is a commission for this young man's family. i never knew him but it is strange how through painting someone, you kind of get to know something.i had only a black and white photo and somehow the orangy red in the background was my instinctive choice of colour. i later learnt that this was important to him.
