Throw your shoes at BUSH !
How many saw Bush getting a pair of shoes flung at him in Baghdad? After throwing one shoe and seconds later another, Muntadar al-Zeidi a correspondent for Al-Baghdadiya television screamed “This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog“. Security forces dragged the furious Iraqi journalist out of the conference room. Bush said of the incident “So what if the guy threw his shoe at me? (…) I don’t know what the guy’s cause is. (…) I didn’t feel the least bit threatened by it”.
Let me first underline immediately that in now way do I condemn the actions of al-Zeidi. If it had been me I would have had a bag full of shoes still covered in the dried blood of the innocent victims of the Iraq war. All ready to be flung at Bush the Barbarian so he could sense what 8 years of his foreign policies have done to the people of Iraq.

BBC “this is goodbye”
White House Press Secretary Dana Perino was slightly bruised in the aftermath of the shoe-throwing melee at President Bush’s news conference in Baghdad on Sunday, a senior administration official said.
But Perino will be fine and is continuing with the presidential party, the official said.
Journalists at the scene said she suffered a black eye, perhaps when she was hit with a microphone.
It’s ironic that the president would be pummeled in such a controlled setting, when the White House took elaborate, James-Bond-like precautions to ensure he landed in secret.
